The individual hired for this role is a seasoned regulatory affairs leader with deep expertise developing global regulatory strategy across diverse modalities, including genetic medicines, gene therapy, biologics, and small molecules. They have led programs from pre-IND through approval and post-market phases, with significant experience in global submissions, health authority interactions, expedited pathways, and guiding complex cross-functional portfolios in both early development and late-stage clinical settings. In addition to broad regulatory execution, they bring strong leadership in building teams, scaling platform strategies, and advising senior executives on high-priority development programs. Their background combines scientific depth in neuroscience with a track record of translating complex science into practical regulatory strategies that accelerate development and support global commercialization.
This critical hire will provide strategic regulatory leadership across early-stage development, guiding programs from pre-IND through early clinical proof of concept and into pivotal readiness. They will be responsible for shaping global regulatory strategy, leading health authority interactions, overseeing IND submissions, and aligning cross-functional development activities to support efficient advancement, particularly in rare disease settings where expedited pathways and strong regulatory judgment are critical.
