Franklin, MA – Prestige Scientific is pleased to announce the successful completion of a Senior Vice President of Technical Operations search for our partner, a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing a novel class of small molecule therapeutics.
The individual hired for this role is a seasoned CMC and Technical Operations leader with over 20 years of experience advancing small-molecule programs from candidate nomination through IND and into early clinical development. They excel in lean, fast-paced environments, bringing structure to fragmented organizations and aligning CMC, quality, and external partners into cohesive, execution-driven strategies. With deep expertise in formulation and IND-enabling development, this individual is particularly skilled at translating early science into pragmatic, timeline-driven plans that accelerate first-in-human studies while minimizing downstream risk.
This critical hire will develop and execute the overall CMC strategy supporting candidate selection, IND-enabling development, and early clinical supply. They will lead formulation development for our partner's lead compound, addressing complex solubility challenges and enabling IV administration for acute indications. They will establish and manage a high-performing external CMC network of CDMOs and CROs to support development and manufacturing activities. Additionally, they will ensure the organization is prepared for IND submission through oversight of GLP toxicology planning, analytical development, and regulatory readiness.
