The individual hired for this role is a clinical development leader with over 15 years of experience advancing ophthalmic pharmaceutical and medical device programs from early research through regulatory approval and commercialization. They have led global clinical strategy, regulatory submissions, and cross-functional development across Phase I–III programs, built clinical organizations and development plans from the ground up, and applied advanced imaging, biomarker analytics, and AI-driven approaches to strengthen clinical endpoints and support indication expansion.
This critical hire will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational execution of clinical programs across multiple trials and indications. This senior leader will provide high-level medical, scientific, and strategic input into clinical development plans, safety profiles, and regulatory submissions, ensuring alignment with therapeutic area strategy and corporate objectives. They will partner closely with executive leadership, regulatory authorities, key opinion leaders, and internal stakeholders to drive innovation, safeguard patient safety, and deliver successful clinical outcomes.
