The individual hired for this role has deep expertise in ophthalmology, clinical development, and medical affairs, with experience spanning late-stage drug development, scientific strategy, and regulatory support. Their background includes leading clinical development initiatives, contributing to Phase 1 and Phase 3 clinical programs, and collaborating across clinical, regulatory, and commercial teams. As a licensed optometrist, they combine clinical insight with experience in evidence generation, scientific communications, and commercialization planning.
This critical hire will lead the clinical development strategy and execution for key ophthalmology programs. They will provide medical oversight for clinical studies, including protocol design, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration with clinical operations, regulatory, translational, and commercial teams. This critical hire will serve as a key internal and external medical expert, engaging with investigators, KOLs, and partners to support program differentiation and successful regulatory outcomes.
