The individual hired for this role is a physician executive with more than 30 years of experience leading clinical development programs across cardiovascular, vascular biology, CNS, and acute care indications. They have guided novel therapies from IND-enabling development through global Phase 3 trials, with deep expertise in regulatory strategy, FDA engagement, clinical development, CRO oversight, and cross-functional leadership. They have a strong track record of building clinical and regulatory infrastructure in both startup and established pharmaceutical environments, translating complex science into executable development programs while working closely with regulators, investors, boards, and global study teams.
This critical hire will serve as the company's senior development leader, owning the full IND-enabling program and leading the organization's transition from preclinical-stage to a clinical-stage company executing first-in-human trials. This individual will utilize their expertise to define the clinical and regulatory strategy for a first-in-class mechanism of action across high-unmet-need indications with no established competitive or regulatory precedent.
