Mark Carlson is an executive search consultant with over 20 years of recruiting experience. In early 2017, Mark joined Prestige Scientific to lead the Quality Assurance practice area. Prior to joining Prestige, Carlson started his career in recruiting in 1999 with The Suburban Group where he oversaw their temporary/contract recruiting and sales teams. In 2000, he started two new divisions for the organization, IT and Biopharmaceuticals.

Mark is passionate about giving back and furthering professional development. He is a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) through the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS), and maintains this certification through continuous education in labor laws and best practices.

He served as the 2016 Chairman of NAPS and served on their executive committee. He has been president of the Massachusetts Associate of Personnel Services (MAPS) and currently serves as the Government Affairs Chair. Mark has served on the conference committee for the New England Association of Personnel Services and has twice been the conference chair.

He has received several awards in his career including WBJ’s 2007 ‘40 Under 40’ recipient and the 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award from the New England Association of Personnel Services.

Mark is just as passionate about giving his time outside of work. He has volunteered for over 20 years as a Special Olympics swim coach for Greater Marlboro programs, has served on several volunteer boards in his town, and gives much of his time to BSA Troop 107 where he is the committee chair and an Assistant Scoutmaster. Mark resides in Grafton, MA with his wife and two teenage children. He loves being outdoors, working with his hands, and helping others.
